A Junior Clerk, is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties in a company. Their primary duties include updating company records, scheduling meetings and preparing documents.
Junior Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
Depending on the firm they work for, Clerks may have different Specialised tasks and obligations. Their tasks and obligations often consist of:
participating in meetings, recording minutes, and creating agendas for meetings to come
Maintaining and fixing issues with fax, printer, and computer equipment in the workplace.
Using office tools including voicemail systems, computers, scanners, and printers to complete routine chores Referring coworkers to customer queries and answering client phone or email enquiries about problems, grievances, and concerns.
Diverting calls to the proper offices and taking messages for absent staff keeping track of office supplies and replacing them as needed data computation, recording, and proofreading for records and reports
Collaborating closely with management or supervisors and other Office Staff .
What Does a Junior Clerk do ?
Junior Clerk perform many tasks that are basic to office work. They make up bills and payrolls, file papers and reports, sort emails, scan documents and enter data on the computer. Junior Clerk work in hospitals, insurance companies and government agencies. They also work for manufacturers, department stores and other businesses. In some companies, a Junior Clerk takes dictation at conferences and transcribes notes. They also monitor office supplies and restock them when necessary.
